My Favorite Christmas Shows!

For my Blogmas day 7 post, I wanted to share with you guys some of my absolute FAVORITE holiday shows/specials. Most of these, or actually, ALL of these, are pretty old and stuff that’s been around since I was a kid and even way before that.

But, they are without a doubt, absolute classics, that are a MUST to see at some point or another throughout the holiday season (along with all of the Christmas movies I’ve mentioned in one of my previous posts haha).

So without further adieu, let’s get into a few of my favorites….

* * * * * *

  1. A Charlie Brown Christmas

100% my favorite thing to watch during the holidays. If you know me, you know that I love Charlie Brown, and I watch all of the specials that come on TV for it on Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. (as well as have them on DVD!). These will forever be classics to me, and I can’t wait to one day introduce my own kid(s) to them.

2. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

Another classic. I mean, c’mon, who hasn’t ever heard of or even loved poor little Rudolph?! The ugly-duckling of the group who ends up not only being the hero, but one of the most loved Christmas characters of all time?! They actually have several different versions/shows/segments of Rudolph, all of which I love to watch and are great, so if you haven’t checked them out before, definitely be sure to do that!

3. Frosty The Snowman

I’m just going to stop saying these are all classics individually, because at this point, we know that they’re ALL classics. But at the same time, what else can I say about them?! They ARE all classics in their own individual ways. I mean….Frosty?! Just writing this, I have the song running through my mind unintentionally, it’s just the kind of impression it leaves on you.

4. Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town

Okay, IF I had to order these at all, I would say that this is definitely my second favorite out of all of them. The music, the scenes, popper?! Popper is the freakin’ man for being able to save Santa from jail (this is why I love penguins btw). I like how they show HOW Santa came about (although obviously I know that’s not the actual way, but regardless!!), it’s cute and entertaining for myself and kids.

5. The Year Without A Santa Claus

This was a great Christmas special, but also kind of sad for children thinking back on it now. I mean, Santa gets so sick that he can’t deliver presents to kids around the world, so no one has Christmas?! That’s terrible!! But at the same time, I suppose it’s realistic to some degree? Nonetheless, that’s not what this post is about. This is a really cute Christmas special to show kids that yes, you may have your differences every now and than, or might just not like certain people, but when need be, you pull everything together for a common goal, interest, etc. in order for a positive outcome.

6. Miser Brothers Christmas

How could you NOT love these guys?! Personally (which is actually super ironic because I’m ALWAYS cold and hate it), I’m more for team Snow miser, because growing up, that was the only real part of the song that I knew πŸ˜‚ and it just kinda stuck. This is actually Diego’s favorite Christmas special, which is great because we get to be big ass kids together! 😭❀️.

* * * * * *

If you guys haven’t checked these out before, I 100% recommend that you do ASAP.

Let me know in the comments or through social media if any of these are any of your guys’ favorite old-school holiday shows/specials. I’d LOVE to hear from you guys about it πŸ™‚ Also let me know if I happened to have missed any (because I’m SURE I did lol).

5 days left until Christmas!!

I’ll be spending the next few days off from work probably binge watching ALL of these, since I really haven’t gotten the chance to throughout this month. But, I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Please follow, like , share and comment and I’ll see you guys on Sunday for my Blogmas day 8!!

-Xoxo, LeoGirl ❀
