The Beauty Scenario Tag!

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Friday! 😀

I came across this tag back in May on a fellow blogger’s page (which I can’t remember the name of at the moment, sorry!), that I thought would be fun to do and try so here we are.

I think this is going to be such a fail for me, because I’m so indecisive with picking my absolute favorites, that I’m most likely not going to be able to narrow anything down to just ONE product 🤦🏻‍♀️

But let’s give this a go and  just get started! 🙂

* * * * * *

  1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

For ‘high end’ I think it would be between the Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating foundation or the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte foundation because I’ve been LOVING those 2 lately. But for drugstore, I think I would go back to my OG foundation from when I first got in to makeup, which is the Neutrogena Skin Clearing Liquid foundation.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or just ignore it completely.

I’m the type that I feel SO awkward in situations like that, because I want to help and point it out so badly, but I also don’t want to make the situation in general awkward or make the person feel embarrassed. Ugh this is hard, I probably wouldn’t say anything, am I a terrible person for that? I’m sorry….😭

3. You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

This is SO hard because I’m such a lipstick girl that I literally have like a million of them all over the place. But if I REALLY had to choose, I think it would either be Verona by Ofra, Lolita by Kat Von D, or Candy K from Kylie Cosmetics.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

What wouldn’t I do differently?! For starters I would take a lot better care of my hair, not in cleaning it, but the way I styled it and the products I used like conditioners, volumizers, etc. As for makeup, well I would watch a lot more YouTube the way I do now to learn how to do more things makeup OTHER than just foundation and concealer! 😂

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixie cut. Do you:

(a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical.

(b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or

(c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.

Ugh, this is another one. Okay, so I know obviously I would be receiving AND paying for a service, which if I’m not happy with, I should voice that to either do better or get a refund, but in a situation like this…I’ve never been able to say anything. I kind of just like get upset to myself without saying anything to the actual person. I don’t know why, I’m just weird like that, and will feel bad if I say anything, so I guess (A).

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?

For me since I’m super simple it would either be the Too Faced Sweet Peach, the Chocolate Bar palette, or the Tarte Rain Forest of the Sea palette (the original…I think).

7. Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe?

First of all, what kind of robbers would not touch or take anything else in the house except my makeup?! I don’t like this question…but I suppose I would say any/all of my skincare products, because as long as I have clean, clear, glowing skin, I think I’ll be okay for a while.

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you:

(a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed

(b) Ask them to repurchase it or

(c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs?

Firstly, I really don’t typically tend to lend out my makeup, and if I do it would probably only be to like my best friend(s)/people I’m SUPER close to. Secondly, it would depend on which product exactly it was that they destroyed. I’m sure I’ll be annoyed as hell at first, but overall as long as I know I can replace it, I’ll just end up letting it go and probably just telling them that they can keep it lol.

* * * * * *

So what did you guys think? I told you I wasn’t really going to be able to narrow anything down to just ONE product. Ugh lol😂. But I would LOVE to hear your guys responses to these questions/scenarios, so let me know! 🙂 Have a great weekend and stay tuned for new posts coming soon!

The Badass Box Subscription

What’s up guys!

In this post I’m going to be going in depth about what exactly this subscription is, how I found out about it, how much it is, and whether or not I think it’s worth it.

So let’s get right into it!

* * * * * *

How I Found Out About It:

I actually found out about this subscription box by reading a fellow blogger’s post all about it. The blog I read it off of was by Stella Hudgens, a lot of people know her better as Vanessa Hudgens little sister although she’s SO much more than that (I’ll leave her blog linked here if you wanted to check it out, which you definitely should!). She’s such a great writer/blogger and one day while I was going through her blog, reading her posts, I came across the one about the subscription. It was kind of similar to how I’m writing about it now, but her’s wasn’t so much a review as it was like a praise for it because she’s actually really good friends with one of the creators of the subscription.

Anyway, after reading her post about the box I decided to do my own research on it, so I checked them out on social media, checked their website, etc. and I was interested in it so that’s how I ended up trying it out.

* * * * * *

What it is & How Much It Is:

I believe the creators of the box are Shenae Grimes and Jessica Stroup (former stars of the popular show 90210). I know for a fact Shenae Grimes is one of them because Stella mentioned that in her post, but not 100% sure about Jessica Stroup being the right Jessica lol (although I’m pretty sure it is).

Nonetheless, these ladies created this box because their signature styles tend to lean more towards wearing all black, animal prints, a lot of leather, and a lot of studs, leading most people to assume they’re either goth or punk. They are NEITHER of those things!! Ultimately, they put this box subscription together for those people in the world that have been misconstrued for that as well. They just like to feel badass, and dressing the way they do and having the styles that they do makes them feel that way with confidence and all. So with each box they throw together about 6-7 items that are a mixture of fashion, beauty and lifestyle goods to help other people feel that way as well and bring their inner badass out.

The box itself is (BRACE YOURSELVES) …….$75, for the quarterly subscription. And the annual subscription would be $285.00. The boxes ship 4 times a year: May, August, November, and January. Now, don’t get me wrong, I know it’s definitely a hefty price for a subscription box when there are most definitely others out there like Boxycharm and Ipsy that do and carry similar things for a MUCH cheaper price, but before I give my input on whether or not I think it’s worth it, let’s go into the products I received in this month’s box…

  1. The first thing I got in the box  was this candle from the brand “Evil Queen,” and it’s called “Let’s Makeout.” When I first smelled it, I thought it smelled really weird, but the more I kept smelling it the more the scent grew on me and I actually like it now. The packaging says that it’s reminiscent of the best selling Bath and Body Works Mahogany Teakwood (which is an AMAZING scent if you haven’t checked it out), this one has all of the best fine wood fragrances, with a delicate touch of lavender and geranium. If I were to have gone out and bought this on my own, it would be $20.

 2. The next thing I got in the box was this 3oz canister of Toffee from the brand B. Toffee. I’ve never heard of this brand, nor have I ever had or tried toffee, but I thought this was cute and kind of cool. This product was not mentioned on the subscription website or the pamphlet of descriptions and prices so I’m not sure if it was a free little extra or what, but I looked them up on my own and saw that this retails for $6.95.

3. The next thing I got was this Pore Perfection Face Mask from the brand Veise beauty. This was interesting when I first saw it because I’ve never used or really seen many masks that are powders and you have to mix things together to actually make the mask. So that was a little weird, but it says that it’s supposed to give you glowing skin, shrink your pores, and calm any redness. You’re supposed to mix 1/2 tsp of the powder with 1 tsp of water in a non-metal bowl to make the mask. Then apply a thin layer to clean, dry face and let it dry for 10-15 minutes, making sure to avoid the eye area. Purchasing this on its own would be $24.

4. The next thing I got was this Fashion Power Bank – Electronic Charging Block from the brand iDeal of Sweden. When I saw this I was legit like HOLY FUCK! I thought it was so freakin’ dope to get a portable charger in a box like this, and it’s good too. It’s not like cheap quality or anything, plus the design on it I think is REALLY cool. I need to use it for one whole time to see how quickly it charges my phone and how long exactly it lasts, but I’m super excited for this product. This alone would cost $54.99 if I bought it separately.

5. The next thing in the box was this Freematic Master Eyeshadow Palette from the brand Doucce. I’ve NEVER heard of that makeup brand before, so I can’t really speak on them. But just from first impressions of packaging, shade range, etc., it looks really pretty. Based off of packaging, I would give them a 4-5. For $65, I wouldn’t expect to see just a plain all black packaging that also feels kind of cheap. The colors are pretty, but I don’t really see being able to create too many looks with it. The palette is a combination of mattes and shimmers, but from what I saw, their all the same colors just in a matte and shimmer form. So that was a little odd to me. I only tried swatching ONE of the shades, which I believe was the third shade in the top row (it’s a shimmer) because I thought it was a pretty gray-ish purple, but just from one swipe, there wasn’t really much product that showed up on my finger. I only tried it for that one shade and that one time, so let’s see. Hopefully I’m wrong and it ends up being a good palette, especially since it’s the most expensive thing in the entire box. If I bought it on my own, separately, it would’ve been $65.

6. The next thing I got was definitely one of my favorites in the box. It was a pair of Luxe 2 Cat Eye Sunglasses from the brand Perverse. I LOVE sunglasses, so when I saw these I was SO excited, especially for the color and shape of them. They are SO cute and I cannot wait to rock these throughout the summer! Alone these would have cost $55.

7. The next and last thing I got was this pair of REALLY cute lightning bolt earrings, which I think was either another extra or they just didn’t mention it on the description card or on their website. I was really surprised when I saw these because it says that they are 18K Gold Vermeil, and they’re from the brand Kris Nations. Since it wasn’t mentioned on the subscription website, I looked around online for them and saw that they retail for $38.

* * * * * * * *

Do I Think It’s Worth It?:

I do definitely think for a subscription box it’s a bit pricey. BUT considering everything that it comes with, and how much you would be paying for those products individually as opposed to in a bundle like this? I think it’s an insane steal. For this month’s box, with all of the products, if I were to have gone out and purchased them individually, it would’ve come out to $263.94. Plus, they only bill you once every three months, so personally, I don’t think it’s terrible. Now obviously if it was $75 EVERY month being charged for the box, that would be excessive, and I don’t think I would think it’s fully worth it. Also, I think it’s really cool/convenient that if you don’t have the money after the 3 months, or you just choose to not want the box, you could always just skip that billing/shipping month. It’s convenient because if you like the subscription as a whole, but maybe don’t want to or can’t do it for that month, you’ll just skip it instead of cancelling the subscription altogether.

*Halfway through writing this, I realized that either I got 2 extra products in my box for free, or they just did not add these 2 products to the website for this month’s box because the Toffee and Earrings were not mentioned on the site at all with the descriptions of this month’s products 😮 ….yay freebies!! 😀 haha*

Overall, yes I agree that compared to typical subscription boxes that are similar to this like Boxycharm or Ipsy, it is A LOT pricier which could instantly turn people off to it, but I do think that considering everything you’ll get in it (5-7 FULL-SIZED PRODUCTS), it’s worth it. But to each his own, make your own judgment about it. This was my first box with them, and I really did like it. But who knows what’ll happen in the future and whether or not my pockets will allow me to continue getting it haha. I do think it’s worth it to try the box AT LEAST once though.

First Time Buying Any Beauty Related Products In About 6 Months…WHAT DID I BUY?!

If you haven’t already guessed from the title of this post, today I’m going to be doing a makeup haul! I have been SO good lately and haven’t bought any type of makeup, skincare, etc. because I’ve been really focused on wanting to pay my bills and save for things that I’ve got planned for myself in the future. So recently, I decided to splurge a bit.

Yes, I went a little crazy…but I haven’t bought a damn thing in about 6-7 months, what do you want from me?! Don’t judge me…

The stuff I bought is MAINLY from Sephora, but there are a few products that aren’t from there. Also, although I did buy a couple of actual makeup products, I think the majority of the stuff I bought this time around are actually skincare related products.

* * * * * * * *

When I’m on the Sephora app, I don’t typically tend to check out the ‘Just Arrived’ section, I almost always just go straight to the brands that I know and love. I also don’t tend to read a lot of reviews from people on the app about their experiences with particular products. I’ll watch YouTubers that I love do hauls and first impressions on products, but that’s about it.

This time around, however, it was entirely different. About half of the products I bought were from the ‘Just Arrived’ section, and I got a lot of them not only because they intrigued me obviously, but because of the amazing reviews they got from others on the app. The other half of the stuff I bought were either things that I had been wanting to try for like EVER but never got around to it, or things that I saw YouTubers use and thought I may like.

So, without further adieu, here is my first haul (in no particular order)!:

  1. IMG_9111

What is it: This is the Pearly Girl Vegan Teeth Whitening Pen by Tarte.

What it does: It says that it’s a bleach-free, vegan teeth whitening pen that’s supposed to help reveal visibly whiter teeth while protecting tooth enamel. It’s supposed to provide an instant brightening boost.

Why I bought it: I think this is one of the things that I saw on the ‘Just Arrived’ section a few weeks ago, I don’t completely remember though. BUT, based on the reviews, a LOT of people have said that they tried it and it actually works. Now, not to say or make it seem in any way like I’m dirty or don’t care about my hygiene, but I personally, have never focused too much on whether or not my teeth look super white. I could never really get into the craze of the 3D white strips, etc. (no shade to those of you that are into that). This however, intrigued me for some reason, I don’t know, maybe it’s because it’s through the brand Tarte which is one of my favorite makeup brands, but something really caught my eye about this and I can’t wait to actually try it out.

How much it is: It’s $22, and you get 0.135 oz of product in it.

What it is: This is the Glow Recipe Watermelon Set.

What it does: It’s a hydrating duo that nourishes, brightens, and drenches skin in juicy, antioxidant-rich moisture day and night. The set contains a Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer and a Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask.

*I totally bought this after I bought the other full-sized Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer (which you’ll see a little later below). What had happened was….I bought the moisturizer and then I became like crazy buying skin care products and so I was going through the skincare section, came across this, and decided to just buy it. So now I have 2 of the moisturizers 🙂 ….. ENOUGH OF YOUR JUDGING, KEEP READING!!*

Why I got it: Ultimately, the the word ‘hydrating’ is what drew me in the most with these products. Although I do have combination skin, more often than not, my skin will be dry. So I’m down for anything that hydrates my skin, but doesn’t make me look like a greaseball afterwards, so we’ll see how I end up liking these!

How much it is: The set is $45, and I think it’s definitely worth it. You’re getting nearly a full-sized moisturizer and the mask which will last you probably 3-4 uses, if not more, depending how often you use it and how much of it you use when you do.

3. IMG_9125

What it is: This is the Tatcha Skincare For Makeup Lovers – Instant Dewy Glow Set; it comes with a Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, a Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, and a Violet-C Radiance Mask.

What it does: It says that it’s a set of essentials to leave skin softer, smoother, and glowing. The Dewy skin mist is packed with 20 percent botanical oils and humectants which gives skin a boost of hydration and a dewy glow. The Cleansing Oil is a lightweight, antioxidant-rich makeup remover and cleanser. Made of camellia and rice bran oils, it melts away impurities, and even waterproof eye makeup, leaving behind silky skin with no oily residue. And finally, the Radiance Mask is supposed to give an instant and lasting glow. The creamy, anti-aging mask is packed with brightening Japanese beautyberry, two types of vitamin C, and smoothing AHAs from seven fruits.

Why I got it: After the first like 2 skincare products I bought, I just decided to look through their entire skincare section on the app and I came across this bundle. Now, I’ve never used any Tatcha products before, but I’ve definitely heard about their dewy skin mist and how everybody RAVES about it. Then I started going through the reviews of the overall bundle and saw the great reviews on the other products as well, and I just needed to try it out. It really is a great little bundle if you think about it, so I definitely think it’s worth it, plus if I run out and end up LOVING the products, I could always just go and buy the full-sized ones.

How much it is: It’s $56 (but of a $78 value).

4. IMG_9138

What it is: This is the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara

Why I got it: This is one of those products that I got because I saw KathleenLights RAVING about it in her videos. She’s one of my favorite YouTubers and she’s constantly using it to give her lashes this beautiful volume. I’ve already tried it about 2 times, and so far I really like it the way it leaves my lashes. So, so far, this is a goodie!

How much it is: The full-size one I got is $25, but they have a mini that you can try too for $12.

What it is: This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel.

What it does: It’s a clear gel for all hair colors that sets, defined, and brows in place all day. It says that the soothing chamomile formula also conditions hair and offers a lustrous, natural look.

Why I got it: This is one of those products that I had been wanting to try for like EVER, but for one reason or another, just never got around to it. This is technically the first Brow gel I’ve ever tried, and I’m sure there are probably others out there that are just as good, if not BETTER, but I’ve used it like twice already and so far, no real complaints to be honest. It does what it has to do, and I’m happy with it.

How much it is: This goes for $22 in Sephora and has 0.28 Oz ig product in it.

6. img_9141.jpg

What it is: This is the Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray.

What it does: It says that it’s a weightless, three-in-one coconut water-infused mist that primes, sets, and refreshes makeup while it helps keep skin hydrated.

Why I got it: I got this because I heard a ton of people raving about it on YouTube and on the reviews on the app/website. I also got it because I absolutely love the regular  Hangover Replenishing Face Primer, so I figure I try this one as well and see if I like it just as much.

How much it is: I got the smaller, travel size one which goes for $15 and has 1 oz of product in it. But the full-sized one is $32 and has 4 oz of product in it.

7. IMG_9142

What it is: This is the First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy Overnight Balm

What it does: It’s an overnight eye treatment that targets visible signs of aging for both the under-eye area and upper eyelid. It’s supposed to help with fine lines and wrinkles, dullness and uneven texture, and loss of firmness.

Why I got it: This is by no means a new product….I think, because most of the reviews were from like 2015-2016 lol, but I pretty much just stumbled upon this product while I was scrolling through the skincare section. Most of the reviews were pretty good, and I’m always down to try a new eye cream that’s going to help with these dark circles I have, ‘cuz mama got it bad…So I’m really looking forward to trying this and (hopefully) seeing a difference.

How much it is: This is super tiny, and I’m pretty sure there’s only one size of it. But it’s $38, and comes with 0.5 oz of product.

8. IMG_9144

What it is: This is the Dr. Brandt Skincare PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator.

What it does: It’s a unique professional-grade physical and chemical exfoliator and pore perfector in one. It’s supposed to help with your pores, oiliness, dullness and uneven texture.

Why I bought it: I got this because, the first time I got it, it was actually in a Boxycharm and I absolutely loved it. I used about half of it, and then I got Diego into it, and he ended up stealing it from me -_- lol. So, I decided to buy one for myself. The cooling sensation feels amazing on my skin, it made my pores disappear, and my face always feels SO clean and refreshed afterwards, not to mention smooth. There may obviously be just as good (if not better) exfoliators out there (and also probably cheaper), but at the moment, this is my absolute favorite.

How much it is: This is $58 for 2 oz of product.

What it is: This is the Amika Brooklyn Bombshell Blowout Volume Spray.

What it does: This is supposed to be a lightweight, volumizing blowout spray with heat protection for massive, long-lasting volume, body, and texture. It’s also supposed to return moisture to hair.

Why I bought it: This was one of the products that was on the ‘Just Arrived’ page. Now, I don’t typically like to use hair products in my hair, just because while I was growing up, my mom would use a lot of moose, gel, hair spray, etc. on me, and it just kind of turned me off to all of that stuff when I got older. BUT, if you know me, you know that my hair has ALWAYS lacked volume. Like it’s dead straight and it’s always so hard to trying doing stuff to it, and it has ALWAYS been like that. It’s something that’s always bothered me, but it just got to a point where I kind of accepted it and just moved on. So when I saw this, I was really interested in it and figure why not try it?

*PSA/MINOR FIRST IMPRESSION: I got really excited about wanting to try this out, and literally the only instructions it says on the bottle is to spray it on damp hair from root to tip then blow-dry your hair with it on. So that’s what I did, and I don’t know if I applied WAY too much, but it made my hair SUPER hard (like gel or moose) which I did NOT like. It also, made my hair super poofy, which I guess that would be the volume? But it looked really weird, and I didn’t really like it. I’m going to continue trying it out and maybe not spray all that much this time to see if I get better results that I actually like. I’m thinking maybe less is more with this product? And if the poofiness is always going to be my results with this, then it’s probably something I’ll just have to get used? I don’t know, but we’ll see.*

How much it is: This is $25, and comes with 6.7 oz of product.

What it is: This is the Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette from the Coconut Fantasy Collection.

Why I bought it: WHY WOULDN’T I BUY IT?! LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS!!!!!! No seriously, the packaging is BEAUTIFUL, and the shade range is literally right up my alley. I’ve never bought anything from this brand before because of how pricey they can be, BUT I’ve literally been eyeing this specific collection for MONTHS, since way before it even came out. And I caved, and bought it. I’m so excited to start using this it’s insane, but I almost don’t even want to touch it from how perfect it looks!! 😦

*P.S.: I’m SO sad that I couldn’t get my hands on the Coconut Perfecting Tan-tastic Omega bronzer too 😥 !*

How much it is: This palette is $49.

What it is: This is from the Kylie Cosmetics collab that Kylie did with her mother Kris Jenner. It’s the Momager Mini Lip Kollection.

Why I got it: To be honest, not a lot of the products from her collections normally catch my eye anymore ASIDE from her lip products. So when I saw these mini lippies, I KNEW I had to have them! It comes with 8 different shades, and they are all absolutely gorgeous. Reds, nudes, mauves, purples, they’re all AMAZING.

How much it was: $42. I definitely think the price is high for 8 minis, but what do I know about how to run a business like that? And although the prices do tend to be a little crazy, she’s obviously doing something right, so who am I to judge?

What it is: This is the only ‘regular’ lipstick that was apart of the Kylie Cosmetics x Kris Jenner collection. The shade is called Give Me a Kiss, and it’s a creme lipstick.

Why I got it: I got this because I love nude shades, I’m a nude type of gal if you haven’t been able to tell. And this color is SO pretty. PLUS, the packaging is badass!! You can’t really tell in the picture because it was hard to capture it, but on the cap, there are middle fingers going all around it in silver, which I think is so funny and dope and made me want it even MORE lol.

How much it is: This is $17.

13. IMG_9165

What it is: This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter.

Why I got it: I’m SOOOO late to the party, but this was all the rage when it first came out in February. I had wanted it for a while from how beautiful it looked, but was on the fence because I saw a ton of mixed reviews on it. A few of my friends had also told me that if I had the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter (which I do), it might be a waste because they’re EXTREMELY similar. But I was just kind of like screw it, a gal can never have too many beautiful highlighters, am I right? lol

How much it is: $28 (although I think it’s sold out now 😦 ).

14. IMG_9169

What it is: This is the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask.

What it’s supposed to do: It’s a one-of-a-kind hydrating cream face mask featuring proven, skin-loving ingredients that deliver rich hydration and a radiant complexion in just one application. It’s supposed to be great for relatively ALL skin types, and help with dryness, dullness and uneven texture. It’s supposed to have a rich combination of ceramides, vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory ingredients that help to combat puffy, inflamed, over-worked skin. It’s also free of harmful ingredients such as artificial fragrance or color, harsh surfactants, petrolatum, GMOs, triclosan, hydrogen peroxide, EDTA’s, BHT or BHA, formaldehyde, or propylene glycol.

Why I got it: This is actually another one of the products I saw on the ‘Just Arrived’ section of Sephora. I’ve been OBSESSED with masks and skincare products in general lately, so when I saw this and read all the great reviews on it, I was pretty much sold.

How much it is: It’s $48 and comes with 2.25 oz of product.

15. IMG_9171

What is it: The Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

My shade: I got the shade Sahel (Medium 2.5), I haven’t gotten a chance to try it yet, so I’m not sure if it’s my right shade, and in the bottle it looks a little dark for my actual complexion, but I guess we’ll see when I actually try it! lol.

What it’s supposed to do: It’s a foundation with medium build-able coverage, that’s supposed to last up to 16 hours. It’s lightweight, natural, fade-resistant wear, featuring full-powered radiance to smooth the look of skin.

Why I bought it: This isn’t at all a new makeup product at Sephora, but it’s a foundation that I’ve always kind of had my eye on, but was always skeptical about buying it for some reason. I’ve heard a lot of good reviews on it, so it’s not that I ever thought it was bad. I just think it’s because I’m the type of person that will really only stick to using 1 or 2 different foundations, especially if I love them, but I’m trying to get better at expanding my taste for foundation, and experimenting with them more, so I got one that I’ve had my eye on for some time now.

How much it is: It’s $49 and comes with 1 fluid oz of product.

16. IMG_9174

What is it: This is the Becca First Light Priming Filter.

What it’s supposed to do: On the app it says that it’s a hydrating, color-neutralizing primer that creates the look of healthy, even skin tone with a natural finish.

Why I got it: I got this because I saw a ton of great reviews on it on the app and from some of my favorite YouTubers. I also got it because I tend to have combination skin, but some days more than others, it’ll be dry, so who wouldn’t love a hydrating primer like this?

How much it is: It’s $38 for 1 fluid oz.

17. IMG_9178

What it is: This is the Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer

What it does: It’s supposed to be a lightweight moisturizer, ideal for oily to combination skin, that’s formulated with vitamin-rich watermelon extract, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and soothing botanicals to boost radiance and glow. It’s supposed to help with dryness, dullness, uneven texture, and uneven skin tone.

Why I got it: Like I’ve mentioned several times already, I’ve become obsessed with skincare, and I’ve been wanting to up my skincare routine so I saw this on the app, read a ton of great reviews on it, and figure why not try it? It smells AMAZING. The watermelon scent (to me) is strong in the sense that obviously you smell it right away, but it’s not super overpowering like lets say the peaches and cream collection by too-faced that a lot of people would complain about the scent. It’s definitely there, but within a few seconds of having it on my skin, you hardly smell it anymore. AND it left my skin super smooth, what more can I ask for?

How much it is: It’s $39 and comes with 2 oz of product.

What it is: This is the Make Up Forever 276 Eyelash Comb & Brush.

What it does: It’s a metal comb and brush that’s supposed to be good for separating lashes and removing excess mascara.

Why I got it: I remember watching a video by KathleenLights a few months ago, which I think was actually a haul, and she spoke about something like this. I actually think hers was from the brand Morphe, but I saw this on the Sephora app, remembered her video, and LOVED the concept of it so I got it. It’s especially good for those mascaras that you love, but are starting to get a little dried out and clumpy, so it’s the PERFECT thing to use to comb out those annoying little clumps of mascara that get stuck to your lashes.

How much it is: $28.

And finally the last thing I got….

What it is: This is the GlamGlow GRAVITYMUD Firming Treatment.

What it does: It’s a mud-based, peel-off face mask designed to tighten the appearance of skin. Its supposed to help with loss of firmness and elasticity.

Why I got it: I had gotten a sample I believe from a Boxycharm or something like that a while ago, and recently finally got around to trying it, and there was just something about it that I LOVED. So when I decided to place this Sephora order, I was like what the heck?! May as well go ahead and buy the full-size. Personally, I thought it was really good. I don’t REALLY think I have any loose skin on my face, so I didn’t notice much tightening other than when the mask was actually on my face, but it DID leave my face feeling super refreshed and smooth afterwards. So I think it was a win/win.

How much it is: It’s $59, and comes with 1.7 oz of product.
