Fall Fashion Lookbook

Hey guys and Happy Halloween!!! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»β˜ οΈ

I hope you’re all having a great and productive last week of October.

Any plans for Halloween tonight or this weekend? Let me know in the comments! I’m curious to hear what you guys typically tend to do for Halloween (if anything) around the world. πŸ˜€

* * * * * *

As you read from the title, today we’re going to be talking Fall fashion.

Who else loves the Fall?! Sweaters, boots, leaves changing colors, pumpkin and apple picking….ugh it’s all so great. Fall is probably my favorite season out of them all, if we’re being honest.

I love it even more because of all of the different possible fashion trends out there for it nowadays.

I’ve been having such a fun time the past few weeks putting outfits together, finding “Fall”-like locations around NYC and actually going out to be able to shoot these looks on weekends.

Now, I know I’ve still got a lot of learning to do when it comes to fashion, but I think I’m getting the hang of it little by little and slowly starting to expand on the things that I wear.

That being said, below I’m going to be showing you guys a few of my current favorite Fall looks. I’ll also let you guys know where I bought these things from in case you were interested in trying to check them out.

Also, just an FYI – Diego has pretty much become my official photographer for any/all shoots that we tend to do now. So all of the pictures you’re going to see (aside from the first 2) were taken by him. He’s always been good at taking pictures, but if possible I think he’s been getting better and better with each shoot that we do together now. He always knows my best angles ❀ .

Look #1:

IMG_0191

13DD9B01-D953-46D9-9E84-480F13F9E8BB

Location: Central Park

Flannel: Marmot
Jeans: Express
Booties: Charlotte Russe

I feel like flannels are an immediate go-to for most Fall looks nowadays. There are so many different colors for them everywhere and depending on your particular style, you can either style it up to be super cute, or dress it down, to still look nice but more Streetstyle-like.

Look #2:

IMG_0916

IMG_0905

Location: Outhouse Orchards; North Salem, New York

Top & Overalls: H&M
Sneakers (although not pictured): Nike

In my opinion, overalls are very Fall-like. I can’t exactly explain why, but I think it just has to do with orchards/farms around this time of year when people tend to go pumpkin and apple picking. I hadn’t worn any type of overalls in YEARS, like legit since I was a kid, but this year something kept wanting me to find and wear some, and I thought the look came out really cute. They were also surprisingly comfortable….that is until it came time to have to use the bathroom πŸ™ƒ.

Look #3:

IMG_1147

Location: Bryant Park, New York.

Top (Bodysuit) & Jeans (Mom jeans): Forever 21
Boots: Charlotte Russe

I’m not exactly sure how to explain why I believe this is a “Fall look,” but I just do. Probably a mixed combination between the dark colored top and combat boots. Regardless, whenever I see these pictures and envision this look, I just automatically think of Fall. I also don’t TYPICALLY tend to wear all of just one brand in my outfits, because I like to try and mix it up, but for this look and the last one I wore single brands only (for the most part).

Look #4:

IMG_0516

IMG_0502

Location: Pier 17, New York

Sweater: Joyce Leslie
Leggings: Garage
Booties: Target

Andddd for the last look…something cute, simple, comfortable and orangey! 🧑 These last 2 pictures were from my most recent shoot, last weekend. I wanted something cute but comfortable since it was supposed to be chilly this day AND the location we were shooting at was by the water, so I knew it would be a little colder then normal. Can never go wrong with a cozy, soft, oversized sweater and some leggings in the Fall. This is actually the sweater that I mentioned in my Fall Favorites video last week.

So let me know if you guys end up liking posts like this, and I’ll definitely be sure to do more of them (also let me know if you have any recommendations for specific things you guys would want to see in these sort of posts).

Top 10 Favorite Inspiring Quotes

For today’s post, I wanted to share with you guys some of my absolute favorite motivational/inspiring quotes.

I’m a BIG fan of inspiring quotes. I’m that type of person that whether for the heck of it or for a picture, I’m constantly looking up and reading inspiring quotes. I mean, why not? It’s fun, and personally, it actually does end up making me feel REALLY motivated/inspired.

I’m sure you guys have seen or heard some of these before, or different versions of these but still, I figure why not share them with you guys in hopes that it’ll end up inspiring you and/or becoming a favorite of yours?!

* * * * * *

With that being said, here they are in no particular order:

  1. “Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game.” – Babe Ruth

2. “Know what sparks the light in you. Then use that light to illuminate the world.” – Oprah Winfrey

3. “Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine.” – Roy T. Bennett

4. “If you want to be successful in this world, you have to follow your passion, not a paycheck.” – Jen Welter

5. “Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius

6. “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” – Socrates

7. “You might not write well everyday, but you can always edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page.” – Jodi Picoult

8. “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight, but no vision.” – Helen Keller

9. “The secret of making dreams come true can be summarized in four C’s. They are curiosity, confidence, courage and constancy; and the greatest of these is confidence.” – Walt Disney

10. “The world is a book and those who do not travel, read only one page.” St. Augustine

BONUS:Β A posse ad esse, which is Latin for From Possibility to Actuality.

* * * * * *

All of these quotes really mean a lot to me, because at some point or another, they helped me get through a tough time…kind of weird to think about right? How a few words from someone I don’t even know, could help me? But it’s the truth.

There’s something about them all, individually, that if I’m having a bad or un-creative/productive sort of day, they somehow manage to help me find my way back to everything it is that I’m working towards and helps the creativity begin to flow again…

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and that somehow or another it inspired you.

Leave me a comment down below or on social media about what YOUR favorite motivating/inspiring quote is. Do we have any of the same? Are they completely different? Let me know, I’d love to hear them! πŸ™‚

Please follow, like, share and comment and I’ll see you guys in my next post!

2019 Goals

Happy Sunday [night] everyone!

I hope that the first weekend of 2019 was fun, relaxing and rejuvenating for you all! πŸ™‚

For today’s post, I thought it would be nice to share with you guys some of my goals, but not necessarily by doing it the old fashion way of just mapping them all out for you guys.

This year, Diego and I thought it would be fun to create vision boards for goals of 2019. Neither of us had done one before, and we both have SO many things that we want to do/accomplish together and individually that we figure, why not?! It’s a great way to have fun and be creative while also doing serious thinking about the major things we want and hope to get done this year.

So that’s what I’m going to be talking about and showing you guys today!

* * * * * *

What’s a Vision Board?

Even though I just briefly discussed it, for those of you that don’t know, a vision board is ultimately a fun and creative project that people do to map out their goals/plans.

Personally, I’ve only ever REALLY heard of people doing this for the new year, but I’m sure people do it for other times as well.

It’s completely up to you, the person making it, to determine how creative or simple it is that you want to have it, but based on THAT will determine whether or not you have printed pictures, cut-outs from magazines, stickers, etc. and how MUCH of those things you end up including as well.

You use all of these things to basically either back-up the goal your mentioning (as a visual for it) or substitute what you’re actually trying to say with an image instead. As long as you understand what it means, that’s all that really matters.

* * * * * *

My Vision Board!

When it comes to doing little art projects like this, I LOVE getting as creative as possible, even if it means going all out in buying little art supplies and what not.

I take my time, I’m extra as hell, and end up being a perfectionist about it! haha.

img_4039

For this in particular however, it was creative and cute yet pretty simple. I’m super happy and proud of it.

Most of the supplies we bought were actually from Dollar Tree; the poster board, stickers, speech/dialogue bubbles, glue stick and markers (reason #12281057047 why Dollar Tree is the bomb.com especially if you’re on a budget like me).

My Vision Board is pretty self-explanatory, especially since everything is pretty much written on it exactly how I want it, but ultimately for this year, I just want to be happy. I want to be happy and doing anything and everything that I love and am passionate about it.

I want good health, happiness and prosperity, doesn’t everybody? But it goes more in depth when you see the final product of my board.

So, scroll down to see the (semi) final product of my Vision Board!

img_4043

I say that it’s semi-done because I still want and need to add a few more little pictures to it before I can officially say its complete, but the majority of it IS done.

* * * * * *

I really hope that you guys not only enjoyed this post, but also felt inspired to want to go out and create your own vision board!

And whether you already have created one, or are going to do it in the coming days, I hope that 2019 is an amazing and productive year for you all and that you get to accomplish every single thing on your board/list.

Let me know in the comments below if you guys have ever created a vision board and if so, what are some of the goals on them for this year?!

Please like, share, follow and comment and I’ll see you guys in my next post! πŸ˜‰

*Also, special shoutout to my mama, who’s birthday is today!! Happy Birthday mama, i love you! ❀ *
